Annual Effingham Oktoberfest set to kick off Friday in Rincon | Arts & Culture

RINCON, GA (WTOC) - The Effingham County Chamber of Commerce will host the 3rd annual Effingham Oktoberfest Sept. 28-29, at Rincon's McCall Plaza, Highway 21 and McCall Road.
The festival will include German entertainment, food, arts and crafts, contests, kids activities and much more.
The highly anticipated Battle of the Bands contest will take place Sept. 28 at 7 p.m. The competition is now closed to applications. Judges will now pick the four finalist that will compete at Friday’s Battle of the Bands event.
A Free Kids Play will be offered on the Friday of Oktoberfest from noon to 3 p.m. If you have kids in pre-school, home school, private school or daycare centers, bring them out for bounce houses, murals to color and more.
There is no charge for admission to the festival, however, food and beverages will be available for purchase.
